WATCH: Ethics prof turfed after 20 years because of vaccine refusal

“If I want to keep working at my job as a professor, I have to take this vaccine,” Dr. Julie Ponesse said.

Dr. Julie Ponesse was fired from Huron College at the University of Western Ontario where she worked as a professor of ethics for 20 years because of her decision not to be vaccinated.

Ponesse had been speaking out against the university’s vaccine mandate and questioned the ethics of “coercing people into medical procedures” for those refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Today,” said Ponesse, who looked straight into the camera for the emotional YouTube video, “I’m going to teach you a short lesson on a universally accepted ethics of coercing people into medical procedures.

“I’ll be the example.”

Ponesse went on to say it was mandated by her employer she must get a vaccine for COVID-19.

“If I want to keep working at my job as a professor, I have to take this vaccine,” she said.

That posed a “conundrum” for the prof.

“My school employs me to be an authority on the subject of ethics. I hold a Ph.D. in ethics and ancient philosophy and I’m here to tell you, it’s ethically wrong to coerce someone to take a vaccine. If it happens to you, you don’t have to do it. It’s your own business” she said.

“But that’s not the approach of the University of Western Ontario, which has suddenly required that I be vaccinated immediately, or not report for work.”

Ponesse argued she doesn’t work in a high-risk environment, such as an emergency room doctor.

“I’m a teacher. I’m a university professor. My job is to teach students how to think critically ….” she said.

Ponesse said as a professor, she doesn’t have to watch the news to learn if COVID-19 vaccines are safe.

“I read medical journals, and I consult my colleagues who are professors of science of medicine,” she said.

“I’ve learned from doctors there are serious questions about how safe these vaccines really are. There are questions about how well they work. I’m a Canadian (and) I’m entitled to make choices about what does and does not enter my body, regardless of my reasons.”

Ponesse received support from People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier regarding the ethics of lockdowns and vaccine policies, which the video refers to as “illegal and unconstitutional.”

“In the spirit of Socrates, who was executed for asking questions, this lesson will consist of only one question,” said Ponesse near the end of the video.

“The answer is multiple choice: When a person has done the same job to the satisfaction of her employer for 20 years, is it right, or is it wrong to suddenly demand they submit to an unnecessary medical procedure in order to keep their job?

“In this case, the procedure is an injection of a substance that has not been fully tested for safety. It has not yet been shown to be effective. It is designed to prevent an illness that poses little threat to the employee. The employee is not allowed to ask questions. He may only submit to the procedure or be fired to my first-year students. Is this right? Or is this wrong?” she asked.

“I already know the answer.”

The video ends with Ponesse dissolving into tears as white text appears on a black screen.

“Dr. Ponesse was dismissed from her position on September 7, 2021.” was all it said.

Another victim of progressive totalitarians. They have no empathy and couldn’t care less about ethics.

    Dr. Julie Ponesse,

Why is your situation dramatic? I see it as a great opportunity, for yourself. You should take advantage on this one, as perhaps long ago, you should have given up the (m)arxist environment of the universities, and started a private school. I am sure the funds will come, as the people are well aware and tired of the current schooling system, that indoctrinates the students how to be wimps, useless, dumb, needy, dependent and of course.. (m)arxist.
You have a great opportunity, to TEACH, and not to follow a program that is established for you, demanding of you what to teach. Do this, and other professors (with left dignity in them) will follow in your foot steps.

Inch by inch they (the globalists and their puppets) take and take and take. What is everyone waiting for before they stand up for their own freedom? How many will have to die before people are willing to see what is actually happening?
    Useful idiots.

When the gvt wants to keep you “safe and secure” there’s a problem with the gvt’s real intentions. It is our moral obligation, duty and responsibility to not bend , yield, nor give up our righteous ways of pursuing happiness, which includes the right to dispose of tyranny, building up on our shoulders. Defund them. Let them fend for themselves. Fact: parasites need HOSTS. Shake your shoulders! Refuse to continue to be hosts. They will fall and starve to death, from lack of blood!

Hundreds of Albertans protest in front of UCP MLA offices over COVID restrictions

So just a few hours after Kenney brought in the new restrictions on Wednesday, ready they were – and about a dozen MLA offices were picketed.

He knew they couldn’t stop the government from bringing in even more COVID-19 restrictions, but Jordon Kosik wanted to be ready to show his displeasure.

Operating two Facebook groups, Holding MLAs Accountable and Closed for Fall, Kosik had his 17,000 members ready to protest just hours after Premier Jason Kenney brought in a fourth COVID-19 lockdown, which this time includes vaccination passports.

“A couple of weeks ago, we knew something was happening,” Kosik said in a Thursday interview with the Western Standard.

“There was nothing we could do to stop it, but what we could do is get ready.”

So just a few hours after Kenney brought in the new restrictions on Wednesday, ready they were – and about a dozen MLA offices were picketed.

Some had a handful of people show up, while others had scores of people.

“This was on organic protest, people in their own ridings,” said Kosik.

And Kovik thinks this won’t be the end of restrictions, with more likely in a couple of weeks.

“To get ready for that we have to network, network, network,” Koik said.

Vancouver gangster killed in daylight shooting

Several news sources said the homicide victim was well-known in Vancouver’s illicit drug trade.

Vancouver cops are on the hunt for an armed killer after a gangster was slain Wednesday during a daylight shooting in Vancouver’s core area.

Amandeep Manj, 35, a known member of the United Nations gang, was shot about 3:30 p.m while sitting inside his car in the parking lot of the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel near Canada Place.

Soon after he bloodied body was discovered, paramedics raced to the lot, but Manj was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they’re convinced the shooting was a targeted hit.

Several news sources said the homicide victim was well-known in Vancouver’s illicit drug trade.

Manj’s brother, Jodh Manj, also died a violent death three years ago when he was killed while leaving a Mexico City gym.

Vancouver Police Const. Tania Visintin told the Vancouver Sun Manj is the city’s 13th homicide of 2021.

She told the paper officers responded to level three of the parkade near Cordova and Burrard streets “after a man was found unresponsive by a witness.”

Police have made no arrests in the case, and ask anyone who may have information about the shooting to contact Vancouver police.

COVID vaccines changing their names

The FDA approved new names in the US earlier this summer.

What’s in a name? Plenty, apparently, when it comes to COVID-19 vaccines in Canada.

Health Canada announced Thursday it will accept the change in new brand names of the three most common vaccines Pfizer, Moderna and Oxford-AstraZeneca.

The Moderna vaccine will go by SpikeVax and the AstraZeneca vaccine will be named Vaxzevria.

The Pfizer vaccine will now be called Comirnaty, which the company said represents a combination of the terms COVID-19, mRNA, community, and immunity.

CBC said the vaccines didn’t go by their brand name initially, but now that new and more long-term data has been submitted and approved they will go by their permanent name.

Canada is still expected to receive vials labelled Pfizer-BioNTech for the next several months.

The FDA approved new names in the US earlier this summer.
