TAM: No proof vaxports work

In fact, the Public Health Agency of Canada hasn’t even studied the effect such passports would have on immunization rates

There’s no proof vaccine passports work, says Canada’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Theresa Tam.

In fact, the Public Health Agency of Canada hasn’t even studied the effect such passports would have on immunization rates, says Blacklock’s Reporter.

“It’s something we should pay close attention to and study,” said Tam.

“That also helps other jurisdictions should they want to make these kinds of decisions.”

Four provinces to date – British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Québec – have issued orders requiring proof of vaccination to access non-essential public services like restaurants and hockey arenas.

Tam said 7.3 million Canadians are not yet fully vaccinated, including five million who have declined the first inoculation.

An average of 69% of eligible residents are fully vaccinated in the four provinces with vaccine passports with vaccination rates in provinces without mandates average 67%.

“In your opinion do vaccine mandates or vaccine passports have any kind of impact on boosting vaccination rates?” asked a reporter.

“We are watching carefully,” replied Tam.

“We don’t have good evaluation or statistics except that provinces individually have said, I think in the media, that they saw an increase in uptake.”

“Is there data indicating what does work?” asked a reporter.

“Some of it is just trust-building, getting influencers, youth influencers, people who can get to social media, TikTok in particular,” replied Tam.

Local health authorities should consider operating mobile clinics through workplaces, she said.

“What I’m interested in is an actual study of course of the full range of approaches,” said Tam.

“But the question prior to that, which is: do locally implemented requirements for vaccines to access non-essential services, for example, work? That remains to be seen.”

The Liberal Party in its September 1 campaign platform advocated an Act of Parliament “to ensure every business and organization that decides to require proof of vaccination from employees and customers can do so without fear of a legal challenge.”

Currently, compulsory vaccination to access public services would breach the Privacy Act, said Privacy Commissioner Daniel Therrien.

Canadians who have declined a COVID-19 shot are “more than just being wrong because everyone’s entitled to their opinion, they are putting at risk their own kids and they’re putting at risk our kids as well,” Trudeau said August 31.

“What about my choice to keep my kids safe? What about our choices to make sure we’re getting through this pandemic as quickly as we can?

“We’ll stand firm on our commitment. We’ll protect businesses that mandate vaccinations from unjustified lawsuits.”

    Simple test:
Israel, massive vaccination, 3rd shot, etc.: 45 deaths /day.
Palestine, almost no vaccination, 0 deaths / day

Woops. Did you vaccinate children in fear of a disease they stood a 99.999% chance of surviving, most of them not even knowing they had it? In most of Europe it is now illegal to vaccinate under the age of 15. Canadians are bat sh#t crazy.

I’m at the place where regardless of my personal views on these shots I won’t ever take it. I’ll stand in solidarity with those getting abused by the government and standing for their own values.

It takes a lot of courage to blindly obey the government and the lier’s in charge of the health care system.

They call them those people, or the unvaxxed.

Straight out of the book of hitler …. Congratulations to all the spineless folks out their watching their neighbours be marginalized by nonsense rules .

It is time to become a peaceful, public nuisance. Enter establishments without masks. Enter vaxx-only places and refuse to provide identification. Peaceful non-compliance encourages others to do the same. They can’t stop all of us. It is time to work together—Vaxxed and unvaxxed alike. We were all the same people in 2019, and we still are. Don’t let them label you.

Pass ports are just another way of discriminating against people. There is a lot of information out there that says vaccination wears off. A third shot will be needed. Then a fourth and a fifth. There is a lot of information out there that informs us that the vaccine long term effect will be devastating and will have no effect on other varrients.
No one talks about testing to see if a person already has immunity before forcing the vaccinating. Any time there has to be this much propaganda to get people to vaccinate it is likely not in the best interest of the recipient. Looking at the data the fourth wave is not any where near what the third wave was yet they lead everybody to believe it is.
When there is a great percentage of the medical staff that refuse the vaccine. Why would anybody in their right mind take it. Forcing people to take it or lose their pay is barbaric at best.
And when the only winners are the Big Pharma and government who in their mind would believe either.

He knew they couldn’t stop the government from bringing in even more COVID-19 restrictions, but Jordon Kosik wanted to be ready to show his displeasure.

Operating two Facebook groups, Holding MLAs Accountable and Closed for Fall, Kosik had his 17,000 members ready to protest just hours after Premier Jason Kenney brought in a fourth COVID-19 lockdown, which this time includes vaccination passports.

“A couple of weeks ago, we knew something was happening,” Kosik said in a Thursday interview with the Western Standard.

“There was nothing we could do to stop it, but what we could do is get ready.”

So just a few hours after Kenney brought in the new restrictions on Wednesday, ready they were – and about a dozen MLA offices were picketed.

Some had a handful of people show up, while others had scores of people.

“This was on organic protest, people in their own ridings,” said Kosik.

And Kovik thinks this won’t be the end of restrictions, with more likely in a couple of weeks.

“To get ready for that we have to network, network, network,” Koik said.

Vancouver cops are on the hunt for an armed killer after a gangster was slain Wednesday during a daylight shooting in Vancouver’s core area.

Amandeep Manj, 35, a known member of the United Nations gang, was shot about 3:30 p.m while sitting inside his car in the parking lot of the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel near Canada Place.

Soon after he bloodied body was discovered, paramedics raced to the lot, but Manj was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they’re convinced the shooting was a targeted hit.

Several news sources said the homicide victim was well-known in Vancouver’s illicit drug trade.

Manj’s brother, Jodh Manj, also died a violent death three years ago when he was killed while leaving a Mexico City gym.

Vancouver Police Const. Tania Visintin told the Vancouver Sun Manj is the city’s 13th homicide of 2021.

She told the paper officers responded to level three of the parkade near Cordova and Burrard streets “after a man was found unresponsive by a witness.”

Police have made no arrests in the case, and ask anyone who may have information about the shooting to contact Vancouver police.

COVID vaccines changing their names

The FDA approved new names in the US earlier this summer.

What’s in a name? Plenty, apparently, when it comes to COVID-19 vaccines in Canada.

Health Canada announced Thursday it will accept the change in new brand names of the three most common vaccines Pfizer, Moderna and Oxford-AstraZeneca.

The Moderna vaccine will go by SpikeVax and the AstraZeneca vaccine will be named Vaxzevria.

The Pfizer vaccine will now be called Comirnaty, which the company said represents a combination of the terms COVID-19, mRNA, community, and immunity.

CBC said the vaccines didn’t go by their brand name initially, but now that new and more long-term data has been submitted and approved they will go by their permanent name.

Canada is still expected to receive vials labelled Pfizer-BioNTech for the next several months.

The FDA approved new names in the US earlier this summer.
