Their second dose must be administered no later than October 16.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is requiring all employees – including frontline healthcare workers, physicians, and contracted providers – to be be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

The announcement came on Tuesday, and all workers must be “fully immunized” by October 31, meaning their second shot must be administered no later than October 16.

“This is an extraordinary but necessary measure to help protect our vital frontline healthcare teams and help us maintain a safe environment for all patients and clients,” said Dr. Verna Yiu, President and CEO of AHS.

“Over the last year and a half, our teams have continued to provide incredible care to anyone who needs it, under extremely trying circumstances. We are grateful for their efforts and are committed to ensuring the safety of our facilities.”

AHS says the new policy will apply to all of their services, such as Alberta Precision Labs, Carewest, CapitalCare and Covenant Health employees, members of the medical and midwifery staffs, students, and volunteers, and other persons acting on their behalf.

Contracted continuing care providers and contracted healthcare workers acting on behalf of AHS are included in the policy.

Staff members who refuse to get the vaccine but are unable to provide an exemption will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

AHS employees who can’t get vaccinated due to a medical reason or a reason protected under the Alberta Human Rights Act “will be reasonably accommodated,” said the service.

Rational government at work. No employer should tolerate employees that not only get sick but can sicken others at work-least of all HOSPITAL workers! Get jabbed or get lost. Not only does this keep the virus at bay it keeps idiots away!

The trouble with Canadians is they have grown fat, dumb, and happy due to decades of relatively easy living. They have become addicted to the comforting lies delivered to them by the Propaganda Box. Real truth tellers like Alex Jones have been mocked and vilified for the truthful warnings they speak, but Mr. Jones warnings on the Globalists plans (like UN Agenda 21 and Agenda 30 are coming to pass). The bioengineered Wuhan Flu plague may turn out to be the biggest intentional killer of human beings in the history of the World.
The MSM/Fake News have whipped the gullible masses into a fear frenzy looking for a quick, easy fix. The people who fall for the “vaccine” cure are being played like musical instruments.
When the fake “vaccine” turns out to be a bio-weapon can you imagine the resulting chaos. We are already seeing the first stages of the coming population reduction scam (just look at the unfolding police state in Australia).
When the sickened poison recipients overload the medical system and it has broken down because the doctors and nurses have either become sick themselves or quit to save themselves, think of the fear and chaos that will result.
If you want to educate yourselves on what to expect in the future here are nine sites for information. There are scientists, doctors, microbiologists and stories of the “vaccine” dead and injured (many with pictures of the victims).

I agree Chris, the frontline workers know the truth! At the moment that untold story is being suppressed or dismissed as hearsay. When the 1st question paramedics ask now is “Have you had the vaxx & how many days ago?” Obviously the workers out protesting are not bucking the party line because they’re bored & have nothing better to do. There needs to be a public inquiry to let these people speak the truth of what they’re seeing boots on the ground every day. Calling your MLA is pointless mine just parroted AHS talking points. I assume they are aware that pulling even 10 or 20% off to “accommodated” duties whatever that looks like is going to result in double, triple overtime costs that Dr Yiu will just hand over to Alberta taxpayers to cover. Apparently the Kenney Conservatives are A OK with that since her contract was recently renewed. (Yes I voted Conservative & am under no illusion that it would be even worse under Notley). She is an unelected person given cart blanche to issue tyrannical edicts, & it appears she is in charge & running the Asylum. That has to 🛑

There was a great turnout at the rally at the Royal Alex hospital in Edmonton yesterday. The healthcare workers are being muzzled! They are seeing first hand what is happening inside the deathcare system.
AHS has a real fight on their hands and I don’t think they will win. The system might crumble first before it can be restored. There were doctors , nurses and paramedics protesting the mandatory jabs. Lots of support from the public.
The Uof A is getting overwhelmed because the majority of people going to the hospital are those that have been double jabbed and are getting sick! The jabbed are waking up to reality that the jab doesn’t work.
I hope they all wake up enough and realize it’s all a con to bring in vaxports. That will be the end of all freedom as we know it. UCP has failed Alberta! Time for everyone to support Wildrose Independence Party of Alberta!
Who wants to live in a communist nation? That’s where we’re headed!

As soon as the pictures of yesterday’s protest at Foothills Hospital in Calgary begin to circulate, you’ll begin to see just how many healthcare workers have had enough of “Dr” Verna Yiu’s $500,000 + a yr tyranny. Western Standard would do well to begin collecting & reporting on people who’ve had serious side effects & make that information public. We all know mainstream media cannot be trusted to investigate & report the truth. It’s the untold story & it’s high time the tyrants at AHS are removed, prosecuted where necessary & the whole corrupted system torn down. They have forbidden the use of Ivermectin & other drugs that have saved people. At what point do you call that what it is!

I am friends/related to two doctors, two nurses and a paramedic.

My nurse friend said vaccine related injuries are starting to show themselves in young people having issues with breathing and heart attack symptoms in 25 to 35 yearolds. My nurse friend said hospitals are being overrun due to staff shortages caused nurses are quitting.

They are not quitting because of covid as the news claims, they are quitting because their holidays are getting cancelled, they are no longer able to shift change and the working conditions from hospital administration is getting worse.

The lie that they have burned out dealing with covid patients is a lie to cover mismanagement. Many beds are empty as nurses have a 1-3 nurse/patient ratio which is ridiculously low.

My paramedic friend is being forced to vaccinate, he said he won’t. He is now making plans expecting to be fired next month. So paramedics which are also short due to the same adminstrative failures as nurses will have staff fired or quitting leading to more shortages.

I work in a federally manadated industry that Trudeau is forcing the vaccine on. My union is weak and for the most part our leaders are all double vaxxed, so it’s doubtful they will do anymore than the bare minimum to fight for us.

Lots of people will let the system fire them in October leading to further supply issues, overworked staff issues for those who are left working and further crumbling of our system.

The staff at AHS are required to obey their employer and be vaccinated in order to be given hours of work and a paycheque. Those that do not comply will be put on unpaid leave of absence and will have no income. It’s somehow different from being fired for non-compliance. I remember how they were “heroes” a year ago, although all were obviously unvaccinated at the time. Nightly banging of pots and honking of horns happened for those workers regardless of their beliefs and personal medical choices. What a turnaround. Hopefully those that get no hours and no pay can manage financially because they worked hard despite their fears during this pandemic and are no less valuable now than they were before.

It’s an interesting development for sure. On one hand you have people standing in lines for it, on the other; people avoiding it like the plague. At the end of the day, we all have to judge for ourselves where our safety ends, and our oppression begins. Saying you would quit is a great concept, but where would you work, live, how would you survive? Have you thought of what a 30 year veteran nurse with bad knees and back can do outside of AHS and it’s umbrella corp? Have you thought about how that young father is going to get benefits and a pension plan for his families security. We are all slaves, some have more flexibility than others, but we all live in the same prison.

So glad I am retired from AHS. Would have had to quit. But not a surprise given their tyrannical behaviour in the last 18 months. People are being gaslighted. More and more get vaccinated and yet more and more are getting the Delta variant. Does AHS not read the stats that are showing that it’s the vaccinated that are the superspreaders and ending up in hospital. What about the adverse affects? The swine flu vaccine was pulled after 50 deaths; this drug has over 30,000 deaths reported and yet people line up for the jab…But we all know this is about something more nefarious and this is just the dress rehearsal for the The Great Reset.

This is completely Insane . . . likely most of them have Natural Immunity from being in contact with infected folks for the last 18 months.

New Israeli Study Finds Fully Vaccinated People are at “Greater Risk of Hospitalization” and 13 TIMES MORE LIKELY to Catch Covid-19
Than Those Who Have Recovered and Have Natural Immunity

A new study out of Israel has seemingly confirmed that individuals who have natural immunity have better protection against the NEW DELTA VARIANT than people who are fully vaccinated.

The team of researchers, from Maccabi Healthcare and Tel Aviv University, published their study earlier this week to medRxiv.org.

  25. Cosmo Kramer

    September 1, 2021 at 10:34 am

Where is Kenney? Legally no vaccines can be mandated in Alberta. AHS is a provincial government body.

Also, they lie when they say they want all workers to be “immunized”. By design these jabs do not provide immunity. They are designed to just lower symptoms. Jabbed people can still catch it and spread it and carry a high viral load.

Also, these jabs are ineffective as well. In Israel (the highest jabbed country) over 75% of ICU admissions for covid are double jabbed people.

MAKICHUK: Rory, Napoleon and the Equalization reckoning

My friends, a reckoning is coming and it all begins on Monday when you enter the municipal voting booth.

mm

Published

on

“Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their peers, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change.”
― Robert F. Kennedy

Rory went camping with his wife in lovely BC about seven months ago.

That’s not his real name but it will suffice for now.

The names have been changed to protect the innocent, like in that detective television show Dragnet.

My entire life is a lengthy list of bad TV shows but that’s another story.

They parked the trailer, set up the picnic table and did what most campers do including letting out their cat, Napoleon.

Again, the name was changed to protect the cat’s innocence.

Everything was fine until it was time to go home. No Napoleon.

They searched and searched, nowhere to be found. No Napoleon.

Time eventually runs out on these matters and while it’s a heart-breaking decision, you have to move on.

But Rory would use social media to search for his faithful cat.

Seven months later … yes, seven months, he would get a message, short and simple, with a photo.

It read “Is this your cat?”

Rory raced back, with trailer in tow — ready to spend days there if he had to.

This time he was not coming back without his furry pal.

Strangely enough, as he was parking the trailer, he looked in the mirror … a cat stood by, stoically watching.

It was skinny, in rough shape but there was no mistake — it was Napoleon.

Seven months, still alive!

He called and he came. But when he tried to pat him he pulled back. Frightened.

I better not screw this up, Rory thought, so he turned on the gentle charm.

It worked. In minutes, Napoleon was curled up on the passenger seat headed back to Cowtown and an appointment with the vet.

According to FAQ Cats online, “a domesticated cat is unlikely to survive in the wild on its own for a considerable amount of time. Cats that have not spent time outside do not have the necessary skill set to survive in the wild by themselves.”

So tell me, how did Napoleon survive seven months on his own? It’s a mystery wrapped in an enigma, like … who killed JFK?

But let me take a guess — I think he survived on his smarts.

Napoleon probably ate camp food remnants or begged from campers. Maybe he killed birds or small rodents.

Ate spiders, bugs or anything that moved. Drank stream or rainwater.

Maybe he found a local benefactor. Who the hell knows.

All I know, is that Napoleon toughed it out. His desire to live, to survive, kept him going.

Seven months.

Think about that for a moment. How long would you last out there?

And then there are the predators. Things that want to eat you.

This ranges from hawks, raccoons, foxes, or even bigger animals like bears, bobcats and cougars, says FAQ Cats.

Little food to be found and death all around you.

Even outdoor survival guru Bear Grylls would have a hard time with this one.

So what is my point with Napoleon’s dramatic tale of survival?

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. And oh my, there is a will … and every day it grows stronger.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again … and I’ll keep saying it until the day I die. It’s time Alberta goes its own way.

Either we get a new deal under confederation or we walk.

We can do this, I know we can. Albertans … true Albertans … are a strong, resilient, hard-working people.

We want our children and grandchildren to have a future. To have good jobs, the opportunity to grow and prosper and to make our province a better place.

That does not seem likely under the Trudeau regime in Ottawa. In fact, a road of economic despair awaits us.

My friends, a reckoning is coming and it all begins on Monday when you enter the municipal voting booth.

It’s time to let those Eastern Laurentian elites know that you have had enough.

The question you will face goes like this:

Should section 36(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982, Parliament and the government of Canada’s commitment to the principle of making Equalization payments, be removed from the Constitution?

I’m voting yes, with extreme prejudice, and I hope you will do the same.

Let’s give Justin The Younger a nice kick in the squares.

Personally, I think it’s the purr-fect option.

WS Exclusive Poll: Support for Kenney ‘grim’ as calls to resign grow

Mainstreet President and CEO Quito Maggi described the figures for Kenney as “historically low.”

mm

Published

on

Things aren’t getting any better for Premier Jason Kenney with a clear majority of Albertans saying he’s not doing a good job and should resign.

The poll, conducted by Mainstreet Research, shows 69% of Albertans don’t approve of the job Kenney has done.

Only 28% of those polls think he has done a good job.

Mainstreet Research

Asked: “Do you approve or disapprove of the job Jason Kenney is doing as Premier of Alberta?” a whopping 55% said they strongly disagreed with the statement.

Another 14% said they somewhat disapproved.

The poll found only 10% of Albertans strongly approved of the work Kenney has done, with another 18% saying they somewhat approved.

Pollsters found 3% who didn’t know.

Kenney does appear to have some support from people who say they are going to vote for the UCP next election. A total of 77% either strongly or somewhat approved of his leadership. With 22% saying he’s not doing a good job.

There’s also anger in the rural areas with 61% of people in the north of the province disapproving of Kenney, in the south disapproval is at 65%.

Courtesy Mainstreet Research

Amongst NDP voters, not unsurprisingly, 90% disapproved of the job he is doing. A total of 75% of Wildrose Independence Party supporters said they weren’t happy with Kenney.

When pollsters asked if “do you think Jason Kenney should resign as premier?” a total of 58% said yes, 29% said no and 13% weren’t sure.

A total of 73% of UCP voters said Kenney should stay and ride out the storm.

Courtesy Mainstreet Research

Mainstreet President and CEO Quito Maggi described the figures for Kenney as “historically low.”

“It’s pretty grim, very dire. It’s shocking to me,” said Maggi.

Maggi said Kenney is sitting at a negative 41 — the difference between supporters and opponents. He said only embattled former Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne has similar numbers before her election wipeout in 2018.

“That’s a historically high number in Canada,” said Maggi.

“The only way back now for the UCP is through new leadership.”

Maggi said Kenney is paying the price for his perceived bungling of the COVID-19 crisis.

“Most people are just looking for another option before the next election.”

The analysis in this report is based on the results of a survey conducted on October 12-13 2021 among a sample of 935 adults, 18 years of age or older, living in Alberta. The survey was conducted using automated telephone interviews (Smart IVR). Respondents were interviewed on landlines and cellular phones. The survey is intended to represent the voting population in Alberta.

The margin of error for the poll is +/- 3.2% at the 95% confidence level. Margins of error are higher in each subsample. Totals may not add up 100% due to rounding.

NDP support holding strong across Alberta

That’s enough of a lead to form a majority government, say pollsters.

The UCP would be gutted and Rachel Notley back as premier if an election were held today, an exclusive new poll done for the Western Standard shows.

The Mainstreet Research poll shows Notley’s NDP currently has the support of 41% of Albertans with Jason Kenney’s UCP well back at 25%

That’s enough of a lead to form a majority government, say pollsters.

Courtesy Mainstreet Research

The upstart Wildrose Independence Party collect 11% support in the new poll, with 5% siding with the Alberta Party, with the Liberals and Greens at 1% each. A total of 14% of voters were undecided.

Wildrose leader Paul Hinman polls best among people who are refusing to get vaccinated. When they were asked, 34% chose Wildrose, 29% for the UCP and only 2% for the NDP.

If the undecided are removed from the poll, the NDP checks in with 45%, the UCP with 29%, the WIP with 13% and the AP with 6%

In that poll, the NDP is also leading in Alberta’s two major cities. In Edmonton, the NDP has 62% support with the UCP at 21% In Calgary, the NDP leads with 48% support and the UCP at 31%.

Rural areas seem split. Northern rural areas favour Kenney 34% to 29% for Notley. Southern rural areas like Notley at 32% with Kenney at 29%.

Courtesy Mainstreet Research

“Things are looking pretty grim for Kenney,” said Mainstreet CEO and President Quito Maggi.

“It’s 18 months until the next election, and that can be an eternity, but numbers in this realm for the better part of a year, with no positive movement, shows the trouble he is in.”

Maggi said he was a little surprised by the lead of Notley in Calgary, normally a Conservative bastion.

“It speaks of the personal unpopularity of Jason Kenney himself. The policies of the NDP probably aren’t supported in Calgary but they are willing to vote for the candidate that will defeat Kenney,” he said.

Maggi noted Kenney is now getting it from both sides of the political spectrum and the WIP is taking enough to leave Notley with a majority victory. He predicted an NDP victory would only be by one or two seats.
