CALGARY, AB: Alberta's political landscape may be shifting from the two-party system that saw only UCP and NDP MLAs elected to the legislature in the 2019 provincial election. An exclusive Mainstreet Research Poll commissioned by the Western Standard found the NDP lead the pack with 35% among decided and leaning voters. The UCP are in second with 28%, and the Wildrose Independence Party has pus

Everything that’s happening in the western world right now points to a fundamental problem in a “free” society: complacency and lack of knowledge. We deserve this. We were taking waaay too much for granted. Government unions have been running roughshod over us for decades and successive governments, including conservative ones, have not only let it happen but they facilitated it. The lack of leadership (balls) has been breathtaking. Who is going to be our Ron DeSantis or Greg Abbot? Or even our Margaret Thatcher. Where’s a Ralph Klein when you need him?

What happened to the comment I made on the poll yesterday?
And I seem to recall 1 or 2 other comments that aren’t here anymore.

At this point if Wildrose doesn’t win the next election, life in this province, and country for that matter won’t be worth living in. May as well just emigrate, and I will the second I’m financially able to. To hell with the people in this province if they’re dumb enough to elect UCP or NDP again, I’m already done with Canada as a country.

    One thing to remember folks . . . .

If Nutley was in charge during the Wuhan Flu epidemic . . .

the Lockdowns and Insanity would likely be DOUBLE what the clown Kenny imposed.

Who would have believed that 35% of Alberta Voters were MARXISTS . . .

The NDP Constitution is on line folks . . . READ IT! It reads like Karl Marx.

If the WIP wants my vote, i want to see:

    1. a small-c conservative platform (smaller government, lower taxes, less red-tape, social conservative positions on abortion, gender ideology….etc.)
    2. A pro-alberta plan: some type of greater independence whereby we stop sending obscene amounts of money to subsidize free loaders in other parts of Canada, our own pension plan, we manage our “national parks”… like Quebec does,…etc.
    3. The ability to stand up to the main stream media and challenge them on their lies. All of the main stream media is controlled out of, and dictated by, eastern Canada. It serves their interests, not Alberta’s.

It’s a mystery how any previous Conservative voter(UCP) would switch to a socialist NDP vote instead of Wildrose. Progressives never fail to amaze me.

At 60, I have never belonged to a political party. Courtesy of ‘Justin’ Kenney’s tyrannical rule, in the last week, I joined the Wildrose Party and the Maverick Party. Well done, Kenney!

No Media Bailouts

The fourth estate is critical to a functioning democracy in holding the government to account. An objective media can't maintain editorial integrity when it accepts money from a government we expect it to be critical of.

We the undersigned call on the Canadian government to immediately cease all payouts to media companies.
