Alberta Premier Jason Kenney's saying to the his caucus, "If that's our base, I wants a new base", [referring to the rogue rodeo in Bowden] was a "slap in the face" to tens of thousands of UCP members across the province, says the former secretary of the party, who resigned in disgust last month. Premier Kenney’s attitude towards Albertans has become very toxic.

Jason Kenney represents the United Conservative Party of Alberta (UPC) & not doing a very good job of bringing Albertans together. Wildrose MLA’s & Conservative MLA’s amalgamated as the UPC.

There is a new Alberta Wildrose Independence Party. I hope the former members of the old Wildrose Party will see they are not welcomed in the UPC. You are welcomed to join the New Alberta Wildrose Independence Party.

Time to make the change for Albertan’s future Wildrose.

I don’t like Kenney and don’t blame him in the slightest for saying this. It’s not just the UCP who needs a new base-the entire political right does. The arrangement of leaning on the rural types so much and indulging their various cultural tendencies/neuroses (and their eternal need for government funding) has been a disaster for the political right. We need a cosmopolitan right no more rural types please.

No Media Bailouts

The fourth estate is critical to a functioning democracy in holding the government to account. An objective media can't maintain editorial integrity when it accepts money from a government we expect it to be critical of.

We the undersigned call on the Canadian government to immediately cease all payouts to media companies.
