Advocates say no jabs for kids without permission

Ted Kuntz, president of Vaccine Choice Canada, told the Western Standard getting the jab is not a decision a teenager should make on their own.

Parents and vaccine choice advocates are raising concerns over children who receive COVID-19 vaccinations without parental consent.

The mature minor doctrine says a doctor can confidentially administer a medical treatment to a minor if the physician deems the individual mature enough to know the risks and benefits. The doctrine emerged from court decisions and has been reinforced by legislation. This means adolescents across Canada can access birth control, abortions, cross-sex hormones, and vaccinations without the knowledge or consent of their parents.

Ted Kuntz, president of Vaccine Choice Canada, told the Western Standard getting the jab is not a decision a teenager should make on their own.

“Vaccinating children without the knowledge or consent of parents is both unethical and dangerous in that vaccine providers in schools do not have full knowledge of the medical histories of the children and their extended family. To expect a child to know and communicate this information is unreasonable and irresponsible. For some children, a vaccination given when medically contra-indicated or when there is a family history of adverse reactions to vaccination can result in serious injury or death of that child.”

On May 23, some as young as 12 years old received vaccinations at Toronto’s Nathan Phillips square as a DJ played and volunteers handed out free water and ice cream and water. Kuntz said COVID-19 shots are not about fun and games.

“The COVID-19 vaccine products…have emergency authorization only. None of the COVID-19 vaccines have completed Phase III safety trials and received formal Health Canada approval. It is the opinion of Vaccine Choice Canada that to expect a child to understand the implications of injecting an experimental product when the safety and efficacy are yet to be determined is unethical, immoral and criminal,” Kuntz said.

“These actions are an intentional and deliberate means to usurp parental authority and to give the medical industry the power to coerce children into making health care decisions that may conflict with family values and health requirements.”

In Regina, Rob Howard has three children aged 12 to 16. He told the Western Standard that parental consent is a safeguard for teens.

“The social pressure they feel is unreal. The common narrative is that if they don’t get vaccinated, they are selfish and fearful. If they do get vaccinated, they are heroic, normal and following science. After a long discussion with my 16-year-old, I was able to isolate her single, biggest motivation for wanting to be vaccinated: ‘I want people to feel safe around me’… she believes her friend circle might shrink if she cannot positively affirm having been vaccinated. The truth is, it is nobody else’s business,” Howard said.

“As a parent, it terrifies me that any of my children could be suffering life-threatening side effects from a secret procedure or treatment and I wouldn’t notice simply because I was not watching for signs because I was completely unaware.”

Stanford University professor Dr. Jay Bhattacharya believes COVID-19 vaccines are a bad bet for the young. The epidemiologist told the Western Standard, “I don’t think children should be given the vaccine because on net it does not benefit them…In the trials, roughly 5 in 1000 children 12 to 15 years old had a serious adverse event. However, the risk of a child dying from COVID infection is much less than 1 in 1000. With teenagers, the risk is a bit more, but not substantially so.”

Constitutional lawyer Rocco Galati believes the mature minor doctrine has been misused. In a video on the Vaccine Choice website, he said, “The mature minor doctrine cannot override the wishes and consent of the parents outside of the emergency threat of imminent harm or death. Vaccinations do not fall under the Mature Minor doctrine.”

They can’t even DIE from the virus these ‘vaccines’ are supposed to protect them from. There’s an ulterior motive here, and we will find out what it is in due time. DON’T VACCINATE.

I suspect most of the parents are completely unaware of the risks, never mind teenage children. No one bothers to ask questions anymore, they just blindly obey hoping their obedience will win their freedoms back.

A mostly agree. It kind of depends on the kid. Some kids are better able to process information and communicate it a t a younger age, however a parent knows their kid best. At the very least there should be a family discussion about the subject. Statistically people 20 and under have a 0% chance of having an adverse reaction to COVID, so that makes the vaccine FAR riskier for that age group, and there has been no long term studies done on this vaccine. In my opinion we should not be giving this vaccine to anyone under 20 unless there are other circumstances that need to be considered on an individual basis.

The peer pressure, and rewards plus the idea of vaccine passports are all a very disturbing trends. The government is very interested in any means they can to vaccinate everyone. My husband had a survey asking him what rewards/incentives he would take in order to get the vaccine, as well as the vaccine passport. So you know where the government is headed. If looks like they will stop short of forcefully mandating it so they can claim “free to choose”. In this case you do not need vaccinated herd immunity to safely deal with the disease. So vaccinating high risk people and others if they want is all that is required.

Yes Chris, my grandchildren in the city, had to listen to teachers say how bad oil was and was killing our planet. This year our oldest grandaughter sat thru a social studies session where the teacher said all whites were racist. At the playground some of the white kids were taunted because they were white. Our other grandkids have always been in a charter school and these two are headed there. So disappointed in our education system and what kind of teachers are being hired , that are brainwashed and don’t know what critical thinking really is.

The catholic school my children go to was excellent till the last year of Trumps presidency. Since that point our teachers have become irrational to the point my oldest has asked to be home schooled next year. My two younger girls will be removed shortly I expect. I am in a very conservative district in rural Alberta with far left liberal teachers. I wouldn’t be surprised if the teachers got together to vaccinate our kids without our permission to spite us. My oldest has told us incidents where teachers and the principal have berated children who show conservative leanings/values. Very sad to see how our schools are being destroyed.

Thank you Lee Harding for doing this article. Ted Kuntz at VCC is one of the most compassionate people I know of and a true Canadian warrior for our kids. What the government is doing to our kids is criminal!

This week’s episode of the high wire reveals the harms to kids after these jabs. Canada is mentioned in this one.

So 18 teens hospitalized in Conneticut with heart inflammation after the jab is ok? Does the VAERS reporting not ring any alarm bells? “This week’s data showed 3,449 total adverse events, compared with 943 reports last week, among 12- to 17-year-olds. This week’s data included 58 reports of serious adverse events in the 12- to -17-year-old age group.” – The Defender 05/28/21
Why would Kenney/Hinshaw be so anxious to jab 12 year olds? Their future is at stake. Are 12 year olds going to give informed consent for the risk of heart inflammation, blood clots in heart, lungs, brain, long-term neurological damage, Bell’s palsy, etc. etc.?

Hundreds of Albertans protest in front of UCP MLA offices over COVID restrictions

So just a few hours after Kenney brought in the new restrictions on Wednesday, ready they were – and about a dozen MLA offices were picketed.

He knew they couldn’t stop the government from bringing in even more COVID-19 restrictions, but Jordon Kosik wanted to be ready to show his displeasure.

Operating two Facebook groups, Holding MLAs Accountable and Closed for Fall, Kosik had his 17,000 members ready to protest just hours after Premier Jason Kenney brought in a fourth COVID-19 lockdown, which this time includes vaccination passports.

“A couple of weeks ago, we knew something was happening,” Kosik said in a Thursday interview with the Western Standard.

“There was nothing we could do to stop it, but what we could do is get ready.”

So just a few hours after Kenney brought in the new restrictions on Wednesday, ready they were – and about a dozen MLA offices were picketed.

Some had a handful of people show up, while others had scores of people.

“This was on organic protest, people in their own ridings,” said Kosik.

And Kovik thinks this won’t be the end of restrictions, with more likely in a couple of weeks.

“To get ready for that we have to network, network, network,” Koik said.

Vancouver gangster killed in daylight shooting

Several news sources said the homicide victim was well-known in Vancouver’s illicit drug trade.

Vancouver cops are on the hunt for an armed killer after a gangster was slain Wednesday during a daylight shooting in Vancouver’s core area.

Amandeep Manj, 35, a known member of the United Nations gang, was shot about 3:30 p.m while sitting inside his car in the parking lot of the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel near Canada Place.

Soon after he bloodied body was discovered, paramedics raced to the lot, but Manj was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they’re convinced the shooting was a targeted hit.

Several news sources said the homicide victim was well-known in Vancouver’s illicit drug trade.

Manj’s brother, Jodh Manj, also died a violent death three years ago when he was killed while leaving a Mexico City gym.

Vancouver Police Const. Tania Visintin told the Vancouver Sun Manj is the city’s 13th homicide of 2021.

She told the paper officers responded to level three of the parkade near Cordova and Burrard streets “after a man was found unresponsive by a witness.”

Police have made no arrests in the case, and ask anyone who may have information about the shooting to contact Vancouver police.

COVID vaccines changing their names

The FDA approved new names in the US earlier this summer.

What’s in a name? Plenty, apparently, when it comes to COVID-19 vaccines in Canada.

Health Canada announced Thursday it will accept the change in new brand names of the three most common vaccines Pfizer, Moderna and Oxford-AstraZeneca.

The Moderna vaccine will go by SpikeVax and the AstraZeneca vaccine will be named Vaxzevria.

The Pfizer vaccine will now be called Comirnaty, which the company said represents a combination of the terms COVID-19, mRNA, community, and immunity.

CBC said the vaccines didn’t go by their brand name initially, but now that new and more long-term data has been submitted and approved they will go by their permanent name.

Canada is still expected to receive vials labelled Pfizer-BioNTech for the next several months.

The FDA approved new names in the US earlier this summer.
