RE: O’Toole wants carbon tax placed on Chinese imports

Maybe the media could point out to these politicians they are truly ass-clowns. Erin O’Toole flip-flops on the carbon tax and now talks about tariffs on China which A) is counter to overall general conservative free trade values. (not that I support China, I say we wean off China altogether) and B) China would obviously retaliate.

Worse though is Johnathan Wilkinson who says we can’t act alone etc. Really? Strange considering Liberal policy and now Conservative policy to have a go-it-alone carbon tax and other punitive anti-resource extraction policies that the US and others DON’T HAVE! Why? Because we have to be world leaders in climate policy even if we bleed to death. But it’ll all be worth while if maybe we get honorable mention and J.T. goes sailing with Greta.

Idiocracy is truly upon us.

EVERY 20 Weeks . . . China increases their Emissions by MORE than Canada’s ANNUAL Emissions! So every year China increases 3Xs Canada’s annual emissions.

So in the Minds of our Federal so-called Leaders . . . we need to made Canada even More Uncompetitive? This is just friggin insane . . . our Annual Emissions are less than 1.5% of Global Emissions . . . would it not make much more sense to just Wait Till the Big Emitters catch up and then we will talk?

Reality is folks . . . this is NOT about Gorebull Warming aka Klimate Change at ALL . . . it is ALl about Wealth Transfer aka socialism & CONTROL.

Does anyone thing for one minute that China is going to cripple their economy to save the planet from the mythical Gorebull Warming?

Only Krazies like our Crime Minister and the Con O’Foole think that . . . lol

With the B.S. that the Feds are pushing, Andrews suggestion has a LOT of MERIT. I am an ALBERTAN, I have lost my way of income due to TRUDEAU SHUTTING DOWN the ALBERTA OILFIELDS OPERATIONS in favour of his and his and his FAMILY having control of the oil and gas operations in EASTERN CANADA plus his attachment to SOUDY oil and paying to ship said oil to CANADA on tanker boats instead of finishing the Canadian Pipe Line from Alberta and giving CANADIAN WORKERS their JOBS instead he has NO thoughts about the WESTERN CANADIAN POPULATION, (just power and being the TOP DOG, leaving Western Canadians with NO way to support their FAMILIES, with a ONE MAN government to say who and what can be done, with no regards to the population in CANADA. How stupid is that.

Well done Ken, conrgatulations on getting the message that not all British Columbians are of the looney left variety. Truly there is a great movement to change maps, across the west. From Idaho going to the Sea at Coos Bay Oregon, from Northern California wanting to secede from LaLA land, and now Rural and Remote BC wanting to secede from the Lower mainland, and NE BC wanting to join Alberta. and Alberta and Saskatchewan dabbling with the Buffalo declaration. Its truly a tremendous opportunity to change the way we in the west get treated by far out policies and remote governments.

LETTER: Alberta should be off Equalization hook

Why would foreign nations be eligible for gratis Canadian money?

RE: Alberta Equalization referendum a step closer to reality

Alberta should be off the hook for Equalization support to the new Nation of Quebec.

Why would foreign nations be eligible for gratis Canadian money? Unless, of course, Trudeau decides their girls need education.

Then the payments could be construed as being for that. The Quebec template is open for us too. Just hold a couple of referendums on separation and no matter the outcome, eventually, we’ll get our way.

LETTER: Minimum wage discussions are often multi-faceted

I would love to see the take-home pay issue receive far more media attention than it does, because it’s our take-home pay that pays the bills, not what we earn.

RE: A $15 hourly minimum wage actually costs student jobs

Thank you for your article on this perpetually divisive subject, and I appreciate the care you took to present a balanced view from both sides.

An adjunct to this discussion is earned pay vs take-home pay. The spread between the two has steadily increased over the past couple of decades, which is (in large part) why many request higher wages.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s often the government that gets the bigger proportionate raise than the employee, via payroll taxes.

When yearly increasing income tax, CPP, and EI amounts are deducted from the earned pay, any modest pay increase does little to improve a person’s actual paycheque.

From the employer’s perspective, they match CPP contributions 50/50, pay the higher proportion of EI deductions at 60/40, and pay 100% of the workers’ compensation premiums. And since these amounts are based on gross and not net pay, the hit to a company’s payroll budget directly impacts their financial ability to hire.

I would love to see the take-home pay issue receive far more media attention than it does, because it’s our take-home pay that pays the bills, not what we earn.

LETTER: John Carpay will be dearly missed

“Mr. Carpay’s actions may have been questionable in your eyes but they were not illegal.”

RE: Carpay steps aside as head of the JCCF

Reinstate John Carpay.

He is the heart and soul of the JCCF and has been an effective and tireless advocate for the freedoms of Canadians.

Don’t give in to the demands of the elite political hypocrites and bullies who demand his head for one minor slip up. Hypocrites who continue to cavalierly and unapologetically break every promise they make and who do NOT have the right to judge and condemn Mr. Carpay for his actions.

“He among you who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.”

Mr. Carpay’s actions may have been questionable in your eyes but they were not illegal. We are at war with our political system and our Rights and Freedoms are literally at stake.

I support Mr. Carpay’s actions and demand he be reinstated in his position at the JCCF. Do not give in to the woke and political bullies!!

Bring back John Carpay.

No Media Bailouts

The fourth estate is critical to a functioning democracy in holding the government to account. An objective media can't maintain editorial integrity when it accepts money from a government we expect it to be critical of.

We the undersigned call on the Canadian government to immediately cease all payouts to media companies.
