Publisher Derek Fildebrandt, news editor Dave Naylor, Ottawa bureau chief Ken Grafton and columnist Cory Morgan discuss and analyze the top news stories of the day.

While Nenshi’s chief of staff luxuriates in Hawaii with impunity, Kenney continues to deal with the fallout from his traveling chief of staff. The media double standard is on full display as a cone of silence drops upon left-leaning critics who had been calling for blood from the UCP.

To compound his grief, it has been reported that Jason Kenney has moved his office into the toxic “Sky Palace” from the Alison Redford era. The symbolism is ugly and comes at a terrible time. Justin Trudeau has yet to be seen lately.

All this talk about Alison Redford’s sky palace is a waste of time for your readers. So what if Jason has his meetings there….his legislative meeting room is being renovated. Seems like a good idea and probably he was using it before the Snowbird debacle. Why are you guys wasting time on this and spending time bringing it up? And another thing, you’re are also “fanning the flames”. Look in the mirror!

Is our SoyBoy PM really hiding at the $8 million Harrington retreat. Or is he hiding in the $2.5 million cottage he has built for his wife and kids on the same property? I guess he believes he’ll be there until he’s old and grey

The burning question still remains unanswered – ” Why did TWO CAF jets fly to Costa Rica and who was on board?” Those aircraft are designated as VIP transportation for government personnel therefore someone of relevance had to be on board.

No Media Bailouts

The fourth estate is critical to a functioning democracy in holding the government to account. An objective media can't maintain editorial integrity when it accepts money from a government we expect it to be critical of.

We the undersigned call on the Canadian government to immediately cease all payouts to media companies.
