LETTER: Time to end lockdown

mm

Published

on

The provincial mask mandate states several reasons for exemption to the mandate, and yet many businesses (which if on private property is their right to enforce) are not honoring the mandate as it’s written.  I guess it shows that this lockdown is the result of widespread fear, fear of a virus that is no more dangerous than a bad flu.

Another point of contention for me is the arguments against lockdown by thousands of doctors internationally are given zero consideration.  One might also direct attention to the splendid results from months of mask mandates and various restrictions: numbers are still ‘high’ – no doubt directly linked to false positives from molecular testing.

Hospitals are not overrun, never have been during this (and it is normal in bad flu seasons for hospitals to become strained).  It is time enjoy freedom and liberty, and to ‘stand on guard for thee’!

If I can get a massage at Physio Clinic. Then why can’t a person get their hair styled at a salon whom follow the same safety protocols as the Physio Clinic? There are other small businesses out there who would fit that same bill and this needs to be looked at; soon.

The lock down is unfair to businesses struggling to keep their heads above the debt piling on day after day.

We need some normalcy back. Mental Health needs to be a concern now for many Albertans who have seen their savings & businesses going under.

Good to see Government workers are being well looked after, but ho well for the rest of us.

LETTER: Trudeau’s hypocrisy shines through

RE: Trudeau calls the unvaccinated racist and misogynistic extremists

Justin Trudeau, you should be ashamed of yourself for calling the unvaccinated racist and misogynistic extremists. SHAME ON YOU!
Let me give you some good examples of racism and misogyny.

You, Justin Trudeau, painted your face in black mocking black people. That is racism.

You groped a female journalist and then later when challenged by the media, you said everyone experiences events differently.  That is misogyny.

Also, you fired a powerful indigenous woman, Jody Wilson-Raybould, for refusing to meddle in the SNC Lavalin corruption file. That is extreme misogyny. Thus, you have no credibility when it comes to racism and misogyny.

We, Canadians, do not agree with your hateful divisive messaging towards the unvaccinated.  As a matter of fact, I have friends and family who are vaccinated and unvaccinated, and we all know that you are the real threat to our nation. We will never ever turn against each other. We will love one another and support one another regardless of our vaccine status. We will always stand by “My Body, My Choice”. Your totalitarianism has no place in Canada!

Finally, let me assure you that we will rise up against your tyranny and we will always stay united, vaccinated and unvaccinated.  You are a fake weak leader, Justin. You should apologize to Canadians, and then resign!

LETTER: Trudeau should resign over comments

RE: Trudeau calls the unvaccinated racist and misogynistic extremists

Regarding Justin Trudeau’s alleged comments on the unvaccinated in the country that he and his fellow Canadians “take up space” in…I would suggest to him – if his comments are indeed real – that he resign immediately from the office of Prime Minister of Canada. The Canada that he claims to lead does not exist. It exists only in his mind and others of the same mindset. The Canada that I know could not and should not tolerate oppression of any kind as well as the totalitarian activities and opinions of their so-called “leaders”.
It is a very sad and heart-wrenching way to begin 2022 in Canada for all Canadians.

RE: Bernier explodes over Gondek’s ‘bonkers’ vaccine comment

Hello,

This is dangerous ignorance!

There is a virus and it is not COVID-19. It is hatred!

We should definitely stay away from people like her. And of course, Notley and the health authorities have left their brains behind if they had any when they got their jobs.

Good for you Max!

No Media Bailouts

The fourth estate is critical to a functioning democracy in holding the government to account. An objective media can't maintain editorial integrity when it accepts money from a government we expect it to be critical of.

We the undersigned call on the Canadian government to immediately cease all payouts to media companies.
