LETTER: Alberta independence parties need to act together

In Alberta specifically, voters are faced with a fractured front with multiple parties.

RE: WIP leader Hinman says Alberta should shut off natural gas taps to US after Keystone cancellation

Since the 2019 federal election, the idea of western independence has once again grown into a glimmer of hope for frustrated Westerners. However, in Alberta specifically, voters are faced with a fractured front with multiple parties.

It is unrealistic to think that the West could ever achieve independence if separate entities with the same goal continue to compete against one another. Alberta’s independence parties must unite under a single banner and work toward their common goal.

Even if independence is not achieved, a united front may force Canada to hear the concerned Western voice that is so often ignored.

Wrong. ‘Unity’ is wildly overrated. What the independence movement-along with the entire political right-needs is QUALITY. Not morons claiming that COVID is like the flu, or that Soros lizardpeople stole the US election, or seriously using terms of retardation like ‘globalist’. It needs intellectuals and elitism.

Thanks for being an example of the kind of people that need to be amputated from the political right.

The ONLY thing I want from Canada is to grant Alberta its INDEPENDENCE!

I have zero interest in a pseudo-better deal for us to remain in confederation. Most of the self-proclaimed independence movements in Alberta only want independence if a better deal to stay is not forthcoming. They keep pumping a 40-year old idea that has failed and will continue to fail.

Alberta does not need Canada to grant it independence. If the people of Alberta decide by a majority to declare independence, there is nothing to obstruct the process of independence for Alberta.

Oh really? How about the Clarity Act?

However, I have long been a supporter of pursuing the Unilateral Declaration of Independence road. But that would also require recognition by the USA at the very least and maybe US Protectorate Territory status for a few years. That might have been possible under Trump but with Justin’s buddy now in charge, that road is a dead end.

Like we in the west need another dictatorial government in the east how we live or lives, who we can sell our products too and how to think

Take a look at who wrote this statement and where he’s from, that should tell you all. The east will say anything, do anything to keep the west in servitude, to keep the cash flowing to pay for their social programs. Where would Ontario get the $12billion + to pay their loan debts every year if the west leaves. WIPA and the rest of the Independence parties have one goal and only one goal, FREEDOM, its the how we get there strategy is the difference.

LETTER: Trudeau’s hypocrisy shines through

RE: Trudeau calls the unvaccinated racist and misogynistic extremists

Justin Trudeau, you should be ashamed of yourself for calling the unvaccinated racist and misogynistic extremists. SHAME ON YOU!
Let me give you some good examples of racism and misogyny.

You, Justin Trudeau, painted your face in black mocking black people. That is racism.

You groped a female journalist and then later when challenged by the media, you said everyone experiences events differently.  That is misogyny.

Also, you fired a powerful indigenous woman, Jody Wilson-Raybould, for refusing to meddle in the SNC Lavalin corruption file. That is extreme misogyny. Thus, you have no credibility when it comes to racism and misogyny.

We, Canadians, do not agree with your hateful divisive messaging towards the unvaccinated.  As a matter of fact, I have friends and family who are vaccinated and unvaccinated, and we all know that you are the real threat to our nation. We will never ever turn against each other. We will love one another and support one another regardless of our vaccine status. We will always stand by “My Body, My Choice”. Your totalitarianism has no place in Canada!

Finally, let me assure you that we will rise up against your tyranny and we will always stay united, vaccinated and unvaccinated.  You are a fake weak leader, Justin. You should apologize to Canadians, and then resign!

LETTER: Trudeau should resign over comments

RE: Trudeau calls the unvaccinated racist and misogynistic extremists

Regarding Justin Trudeau’s alleged comments on the unvaccinated in the country that he and his fellow Canadians “take up space” in…I would suggest to him – if his comments are indeed real – that he resign immediately from the office of Prime Minister of Canada. The Canada that he claims to lead does not exist. It exists only in his mind and others of the same mindset. The Canada that I know could not and should not tolerate oppression of any kind as well as the totalitarian activities and opinions of their so-called “leaders”.
It is a very sad and heart-wrenching way to begin 2022 in Canada for all Canadians.

LETTER: Gondek displays dangerous ignorance

RE: Bernier explodes over Gondek’s ‘bonkers’ vaccine comment

This is dangerous ignorance!

There is a virus and it is not COVID-19. It is hatred!

We should definitely stay away from people like her. And of course, Notley and the health authorities have left their brains behind if they had any when they got their jobs.

Good for you Max!
