LETTER: Reporting on Ramadan by-law exception is “white nationalist”
“This is what we expect from your white nationalist newspaper.”

RE: Nenshi gives Calgary mosques permission to break noise bylaws during Ramadan
It’s funny how you write about Nenshi give Muslims permission on noise bylaws. Well guess what I do not want church bells ringing either.
However, this is what we expect from your white nationalist newspaper.

LETTER: Trudeau gun grab just an election ploy
Trudeau’s gun control legislation has nothing to do with public safety, and everything to do with elections

RE: Cities able to ban handguns under Liberal gun grab program
Trudeau’s gun control legislation has nothing to do with public safety, and everything to do with elections.
It gets him a lot of city votes
He will never take any firearms off the streets, because it would violate the ‘holy rights’ of our so-called indigenous people to continue to trade in all kinds of illegal products and substances, including guns and ammo.
Enforcing any and all of his gun laws would take firearms away from duck hunters and target shooters, while leaving armed criminal gangs free to fight their wars and trade their drugs in our city streets.

LETTER: Name the Edmonton CFL team The Pissants
“As I said to a Aboriginal friend, the expression of monikers was a sign of respect.”

RE: Edmonton Elk CFL team – one of the possible new names for the franchise
As I said to a Aboriginal friend, the expression of monikers was a sign of respect.
IE: George Armstrong was called “Chief” as captain of the Leafs. It was a sign of respect, to be worn with pride. And the last time they won Stanley Cup.
Perhaps the (name should be The) Edmonton Pissants.

LETTER: Hey Alberta – quit your whining!
Alberta could lead the way, rather than whining and crying about how tough they have it.

RE: Rick Strankman – Turn off The taps
The rest of Canada does not owe Alberta anything.
It’s the world’s view oil is on its way out, not the rest of Canada.
Alberta does not just want North America to be self-sufficient – they want to be the “haves” again. In other words, extract and ship (overseas) as much oil as possible.
It’s time to transition to other forms of energy. Alberta could lead the way, rather than whining and crying about how tough they have it.
